Smoke Chamber Parging

According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), defective smoke chambers are the third leading cause of chimney related house fires. For the safety and efficiency of your fireplace, it is important that any gaps, cracks, or holes in the smoke chamber be sealed and the brick corbelling be hand parged smooth.

We have tried many different products and application methods for parging smoke chambers, and we believe the best product on the market is Chamber Safe and that the only method that will bring your chimney up to code is hand parging. With Shane’s Chimney Care we will hand parge your smoke chamber with Chamber Safe insulated refractory mortar to comply with IRC R1001.8
